Dave Marvin


Dave Marvin has been involved with the marching percussion activity for more than 30 years. He started marching at age 11 and now teaches, writes, designs, clinics and judges for groups across the United States. His arrangements and design consulting sessions are highly sought after in the marching percussion community.
Currently, Dave is the Director/Arranger of the new Denver Broncos Stampede Drumline. This outstanding group performs at all Denver Bronco home games as well as private and corporate functions. He has been the Percussion Director at Northglenn High School for 30 years. In that time, they have earned 19 state titles as well as WGI gold, silver and bronze medals. This is his sixth year directing the Longmont High School marching percussion section. They are a five-time WGI finalist. Marvin is also the mastermind behind the show concepts and visual coordination for the four-time WGI World Champion Blue Knights World Percussion Ensemble from 1999 through 2005.
Dave has also written/arranged and taught for the Blue Knights Drum and Bugle Corps, Troopers Drum and Bugle Corps, United States Air Force Drum and Bugle Corps and the University of Colorado Marching Band.
He currently serves as President of the Rocky Mountain Percussion Association, one of the most respected circuits in the nation.
His latest endeavor Party Crashers! with his wife, Kathy, includes two professional percussion ensembles, Bash! and Grooved Pavement. The non-stop energy and unique instrumentation of these groups has quickly changed the entertainment landscape in Denver.
