Greg Hamilton, who is in his 30th year of teaching, is currently the band director at Parkway South Middle School (St. Louis, Mo) as well as the Assistant Band Director/Drill Designer for the Parkway South High School Marching Band. He also is the drill designer for several bands in Missouri, Illinois, and Kansas. He has been involved in the marching arts since 1994 with both marching bands and indoor drumlines and has been designing shows and writing drill since 1998. Groups that he has worked with and designed for have been BOA regional finalists and WGI national finalists. He is past director of Gateway Indoor Percussion, a WGI Independent World finalist. He was also a member of the Blue Devils Drum Corps from 1975-1977.
Greg works as a visual judge for indoor percussion associations throughout the country. He has judged for Rocky Mount Percussion, Southern California Percussion, Indiana Percussion, Atlantic Indoor, Mississippi Indoor, and Mid-Continent. He also works as a visual and music judge during the marching band season throughout the Midwest.
He has a Bachelors of Music (Education) and a Masters of Music (Performance) from Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville. He was the commander/conductor of the Air National Guard Band of the Central States stationed in St. Louis from 1992-2002. He is married and has four kids and nine grandchildren.
